L’Atelier des Cinq Soleils is an itinerant laboratory for art and creativity. The main mission of our association is to offer cultural and artistic mediation projects for children aged 6 months and over and their families. Enabling everyone to discover, manipulate and experiment , to promoteaccess to culture for everyone.
Our goals
Our main objectives are :
- Supporting growth rich in sensitive experiences for children and young people: Providing spaces for children and young people to explore and develop their creative potential by building bridges between art, pedagogy and play.
- Promoting access to culture for all: Make culture accessible, whatever the means or background of participants.
Our activities
We work in a variety of formats adapted to different audiences and contexts:
- Workshops and immersive installations: hands-on, interactive sessions where participants can experiment and manipulate.
- Collective works: participative projects aimed at creating works in groups, promoting cohesion and collective expression.
- Training courses: L’atelier des cinq soleils also offers a range of training courses to help childcare, cultural and social professionals develop or rethink their daily practice.
- Tailor-made collaborations: Partnerships co-constructed with families, cultural players or associations to meet specific needs.
Artistic universes
Our mediation projects invite you to discover various artistic universes, including :
- The world of an artist or illustrator: Exploration of the work and techniques of a specific artist.
- A show: Mediations adapted to the spectator’s experience of a theater or dance performance.
- An artistic object or periods in art history: Discovery of emblematic artistic pieces or key moments in art history.
- Ancestral or artisanal practices: Initiation to traditional and artisanal techniques.
- Topics of collective interest: Themes that are relevant to the partner or host site, enabling a contextualized and meaningful approach to mediation.
We firmly believe that art and culture are vectors for personal development and social cohesion, and we are committed to making them accessible to all through our cultural and artistic mediation projects.
Our actions are based on 2 common threads:
The book
The book is a precious, magical object, a gateway to the discovery of our sensitive soul. At each meeting, we explore and manipulate album books, artists’ books, game books, pop-up books, tactile books and documentary books, among others. These works play a central role, marking the beginning, the end, or inspiring the theme of our intervention.
Art stories
Is there just one art history? We like to believe that there is a multitude of stories with which we weave our own collective history every day. Each painting, sculpture or installation tells stories that allow us to feel emotions, experience sensations, and sometimes even turn our gaze away from a subject to reinvent a whole new universe.
